Housing Registration
The Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police, Inc. has obtained a block of 70 rooms at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel, San Diego, CA. The single/double/twin room rate per night is $245.00 + tax, triple occupancy rate $270.00 + tax, and the quad rate per night is $295.00 + tax. The tax rate is 12.5%. Valet parking at the hotel is $28.00 per day (inclusive) with in & out privileges. Self parking is available @ a rate of $20.00 (inclusive) per day with in & out privileges.
A credit card deposit (one night’s stay) is required to hold each room reservation which is on a first-come-first-serve basis. The deposit is an IACP requirement. The OACP office must send all housing forms / credit card deposits to Travel Planners (IACP’s housing bureau), hence the necessity of your sending information to us as soon as possible.
Credit Card Deposit(s) / Housing Form(s) must be received no later than AUGUST 20, 2008
If you are making your room reservation through OACP and wish to be included in the Ohio room block, housing information / deposits should only be sent to OACP, DO NOT forward housing requests to IACP. Duplication will cause both to be eliminated.
IACP will handle your actual conference registration. Conference materials will be forwarded to you from the IACP as well. The OACP staff’s involvement is to assist with hotel rooms for the Ohio room block. You do not have to be a member of the IACP to attend the Conference.
We are asking that you follow the above instructions so that you will be assured a room reservation. This will guarantee you a room in our block. After your housing form / deposit are received you will be forwarded an Email Confirmation within five business days. If you do not receive an Email Confirmation, please contact Jackie Jordan. If the room block is filled, you will be placed on a waiting list and be notified of any openings.
