Position Announcement - Chief of Police

The Village of Enon, Ohio is currently accepting applications for the position of fulltime police chief.  Enon is located in Clark County between Springfield and Fairborn, has 2700 residents, is a statutory village with six council members and a mayor.  The Police Department has 12 sworn officers.

Requirements for the position are:

  • Minimum of high school diploma, additional education* preferred
  • Current Ohio Peace Officer Training Certificate
  • Minimum of five years as a peace officer, with one (1) year supervisory experience required
  • Executive level training such as FBI National Academy, P.E.L.C., C.L.E.E., Northwestern University Center for Public Safety, or the Southern Police Institute, preferred.

Hiring salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience with a range of $43,000 up to $48,000.  Excellent benefits.
